3 motorhome accessories I couldn’t live without

Ever since I bought a motorhome, the kids and my girlfriend have been nagging me to go on an RV trip. However, since I like hiking and camping a lot, I know very well the importance of being well prepared. That is why I always invest in accessories that will help me during such trips. You must keep in mind that I also have to keep a budget in mind, so, if you take after me, you know that you won’t be spending on trifle things.

A backup camera for my motorhome

An RV backup camera is one of those things that can keep you out of trouble. Do you know that many of the accidents involving RVs happen because of poor visibility in the back of the vehicle? By no means do I want me and my family to suffer through a terrible accident, because I didn’t care to invest in proper safety.

So the first thing I decided to invest in was a backup camera for my motorhome. I have always trusted my rear view mirror, but now I can say, hand on heart, that you cannot get any better than such a camera. It feeds the infotainment screen in front of you, so you don’t have to take your eyes off what you are doing too much. I find it much more convenient, and I don’t think I could live without it.

Leisure batteries

Yes, I know, I must be one of the few people who hadn’t heard about such things until purchasing one. If you’re in the same boat with me, and you don’t know what such batteries are, I can tell you that they are the type of accessory you don’t want to leave home without.

These are smaller than car batteries, and they serve for low watt appliances you may have in your caravan. You can pick only one or more. I have two because this was the number we all agreed on that it would serve for all our needs.

A head torch

I don’t know if you noticed, but when you are caravaning, there are many things you need to take care of, and most of these things, such as changing the gas bottle, or emptying the toilet, require your both hands. That was when I realized that I needed a head torch. There is nothing more convenient for keeping your hands free and take care of things.

A model with LED lights is more convenient, because it gives off a brighter light, and it is more durable and dependable. Also, mine comes with adjustable brightness so that I can use the head torch in any conditions.
